CABOT CIRCUS REVEALS PLANS FOR LASER LIGHT SWITCH ON THIS NOVEMBER
Cabot Circus has once again provided a truly stellar line-up for this year’s Christmas light switch at 6pm on Friday 11th November. Inspired by the Bristol community, festivities will begin at 5:00pm with a performance from Vocal Works Gospel Choir at The Galleries, who will then lead the parade, via Broadmead and Quakers Friars, arriving at Cabot Circus for the main event by 6pm.
The Galleries’ Centre Manager, Colin Lang comments: “We are delighted to be hosting the start of the Christmas Lights activity. I’ve heard Vocal Works Gospel Choir sing before and they’re great! We can’t wait.”
Joining the procession are the children of Cabot and Luckwell Primary Schools who have been busy making homemade lanterns that will be illuminated with LED lights for the moonlit walk.
At 6:00pm the choir will head onto the Cabot Circus stage, joined by a band of spectacular LED drummers dressed in glow in the dark outfits before the final act, Lumina Duel take to the stage. A fusion of music and light, Lumina literally play their violins with a laser beam as well as manipulating other lasers throughout their performance. Within the last 12 months Lumina Duel have supported Sting, Leona Lewis, Jools Holland and Derren Brown.
Finally at 6.16pm, the Cabot Circus Christmas Lights will be turned on to the sights and sounds of a cheering crowd and confetti canons – a festive visual feast not to be missed!
Of the evening, Amy Tout, Marketing Manager of Cabot Circus “We’re so excited about the activity planned for the Cabot Circus Lights Switch-On! It’s going to be great for the kids with lots of the local primary school getting involved and Lumina Duel looks set to be the best entertainment we’ve had yet!”
